OUR STORY

Here at the Zawadi Memorial Health Training Institute we believe everyone in Tanzania is entitled to adequate healthcare. It is our priority to contribute to a health system that would benefit all Tanzanians by helping future students such as yourself succeed in the medical field and acquire a meaningful education and diploma.

Zawadi Memorial Health Training Institute was established in 2018 in honor of the son and only child of our founder, Ms Valeria Dominic Mrema. After establishing Nganjoni Clinic in 2011 to provide safer and closer access to maternal care, Ms. Mrema realized the best way to address  the nationwide shortage of qualified healthcare workers was to train more youth in nursing, midwifery, and other health professions.

Students will graduate our programs fully prepared to provide quality medical care and health education to diverse groups, including those in rural areas. This will facilitate access to healthcare in the Kilimanjaro region and provide an equal opportunity for Tanzanians to lead a healthy life regardless of their race, gender, education, sexual orientation, or economic background.
