Medical attendants offer support to other healthcare and administrative professionals in hospital and clinic settings. Their presence ensures patients receive the attention and comfort they need to recover and doctors and nurses can perform their duties efficiently.

 

Common duties medical attendants perform include:

  • Assisting with patient hygiene, feeding, mobility, and monitoring vital signs.

  • Helping to maintain clean, safe, and well-equipped healthcare environments 

  • Ensuring smooth operations of wards and clinics by preparing equipment, disinfecting medical instruments and environment, replenishing medical supplies and transporting patients

  • Offering administrative support such as data collection and record keeping

  • Providing health education to patients ​

Entry Requirements: Holders of Certificate of Secondary Education (CSEE) with one (1) pass in Biology
